LawBRO Successfully Organizes Its First National Webinar on Legal Research
— A promising beginning for a startup redefining legal education through technology and mentorship.
Webinar | June 1, 2025 –
LawBRO, a student-led legal-tech startup, successfully conducted its first national webinar titled “Introduction to Legal Research” on June 1, 2025. The event marked a major milestone in LawBRO’s mission to democratize access to quality legal education and mentorship.
The webinar saw enthusiastic participation from law students, interns, and early researchers across various universities and law schools in India. The session was designed to provide foundational insights into legal research methodology, article writing, and the publication process — skills increasingly essential for students aiming to pursue higher studies, publications, and academic careers.
The event was graced by Mr. Ravish Ranjan, Legal Advisor to the Excise Department, Government of Bihar, who joined as Chief Guest. In his address, he emphasized the importance of strong legal research in both policy-making and litigation, encouraging young legal minds to invest in scholarly rigor and ethical writing.
The session was conducted by Mr. Rajeev Raj, a JRF-qualified Research Scholar from the Central University of South Bihar, who broke down complex research concepts into practical, student-friendly learning modules. The webinar was part of a three-part workshop series curated by LawBRO to bridge the gap between academic theory and practical application.
Speaking on the success of the event, Om, Founder of LawBRO, said:
“We are overwhelmed by the response. LawBRO was born from a simple idea — to make law and legal learning approachable, collaborative, and innovative. Today’s webinar has reaffirmed our belief in that mission.”
LawBRO also announced that participants who attend all three research modules will receive a verifiable certificate, which can add strong value to their CVs and academic profiles.
The startup has already engaged over 100 interns under various verticals — including content creation, legal research, outreach, and coordination — and continues to offer mentorship from practicing advocates and researchers through its unique collaborative model.
With this first successful step, LawBRO aims to host more webinars, research sessions, drafting workshops, and legal aid drives, creating a vibrant space where students and professionals can grow together.
